The sad state of affairs 'round here of late has been that when I find myself stressing over whether to update this blog or the other blog, I end up doing neither...
Fortunately, there are always plenty of other bloggers busily tappity-tapping away at their keyboards. Fer'intstance:
- Bob bemoans the idiocy of CanCon rules for television, for example:
"One independent producer was told that Captive, her documentary for Vision TV on Esther Wheelwright -- the Ursuline nun who buried General Montcalm after the 1759 Plains of Abraham battle -- did not qualify because 'this is about history before there was a Canada.'"
- Brett is trying to get people dates through his blog
- Brett's dad shares a sampling of real answers received on exams given by the California Department of Transportation's driving school, including this one:
Q: Who has the right of way when four cars approach a four-way stop at the same time?
A: The pick up truck with the gun rack and the bumper sticker saying, "Guns don't kill people. I do." - Joey notes that Canada's flag is 40 years old
- over on the GTA Bloggers site, Rannie posts this very cool hypothetical Toronto subway map of the future -- if only....

Heya Jen:
Greetings from GN (aka rumbanik)...Happy New Year, Valentine's, and whatever other holiday I've missed the past year or two. S'been a long time, I know.
Speaking of blogs, I've finally gotten my own domain so I transferred the blog over. "Paramecium Parachute" has become "Tra-La-La: True Tales of the Tragically Nostalgic." The blog and website is under construction, but it's readable. I've revived my blogrolling list too, so expect more clickage from me in the future... =)
Hope you're doing fine (sings to self, "Hello, hello..." --aw geez, I really am stuck in the '80s). Talk to you soon.
GN
