OK, since I mention Zen and Buddhism in my last post, how about some links?:
- About.com's Buddhism site is a good place to start if you don't know your Path from your Precepts
- BuddhaNet's eBook Library has a number of texts available for download in PDF format
- The Buddhist Studies WWW Virtual Library is a jump-off point to a ton of resources on just about every Buddhist school you can think of; the starting page of Zen resources breaks it down even further
Interestingly enough, two of my favourite books on writing draw heavily on the Zen thing:
- One Continuous Mistake: Four Noble Truths for Writers by Gail Sher -- like she says, "the only way to fail is not to write"
- Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within by Natalie Goldberg -- chock-full of anecdotes and very readable
